Congratulations to Jian Hern Yeoh (楊建恆) for winning the Best Lightning Talk Award at CICTP 2025 — the 25th COTA International Conference of Transportation Professionals — held July 22–25, 2025 in Guangzhou, China.

His winning talk, "Optimizing Grid Efficiency: A Dynamic V2B Strategy for Battery-Swapping Stations Using Multi-Objective Rolling Windows," presents a vehicle-to-building (V2B) dispatch strategy that lets electric-scooter battery-swapping stations act as flexible grid resources. By optimizing charging and discharging decisions over a multi-objective rolling-horizon window, the approach balances competing goals in real time — improving grid efficiency and lowering operating cost while keeping enough charged batteries on hand for riders. Delivered in the conference's fast-paced lightning-talk format, the presentation distilled this multi-objective optimization into a few sharp minutes — earning recognition for both the depth of the research and the clarity of its delivery.
