Yin-Dir (YD) Hwang is an AI Strategy Advisor to the E3 Center, supporting the development of AI-native products for energy-market trading and distributed energy resource applications. He advises the team on agentic-AI architecture, product strategy, and the deployment of AI-driven decision-support systems in real-world energy markets.
YD is Senior Director of Agentic AI at Appier, where he has led the development of products spanning fraud detection, SaaS platforms, and large-scale agentic AI systems since 2017. He also serves as an Adjunct Lecturer at National Defense University, teaching AI trends and programming.
YD holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in Psychology from National Taiwan University. His graduate research on decision-making, fairness perception, and emotion was published in Psychophysiology (2017).
