Shao Yang Cheung earned his bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from National Taiwan University (NTU). He is currently pursuing a master's degree in the Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) division of NTU's Department of Civil Engineering. His research focuses on sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), particularly its carbon-reduction potential, economic feasibility, and practical limitations compared with conventional aviation fuel. Using life cycle assessment (LCA) and techno-economic analysis (TEA), he evaluates the environmental and economic performance of the Power-to-Liquid (PtL) pathway for SAF production. His work aims to provide scientific evidence that supports informed fuel choices and the aviation industry's transition toward a low-carbon future.
